Garryowen FC Notes w.e 17th January 2010.
Unfortunately there is very little to report on the playing front and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the weekend. We may not be out of the woods yet but the chances of some game time this week increases by the day. First up will be our senior team who make the trip to Templeville Road to take on St. Mary’s College in the AIL at 2.30. Honours are even for the season with the Dublin side winning the league game and the light blues avenging that defeat in the AIB Cup tie. Both games were played in Dooradoyle and even though Templeville Road is a difficult venue for any visiting team, we have managed to upset the odds there in recent times. We have back to back games with Cork Con on 23rd (league) and the AIB Cup Final on 30th. The U21’s play UCC in the SW AIL at Curraheen Road on Saturday at 2.30 while our Gleeson League team are away to Richmond at Garryowen Green also at 2.30. Our junior team travel to play Bruff in the MSL on Sunday at 2.30. In under age, the U17’s play Dungarvan in the Pan Munster League in Dooradoyle at 12.15 and the U19’s have an away friendly v Glenstal.
